Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg have launched a multi-billion-dollar clean energy fund in the hopes of increasing renewable energy adoption around the world. The initiative is being funded by a team of the world's richest entrepreneurs, with Gates, Zuckerberg, Alibaba CEO Jack Ma and Richard Branson joining the ranks of around 30 high profile investors.

Large Profit By Western Power Amid Rising Debt

Western Power has announced their profit is up 21 per cent on last year with a new figure of $191 million being released. Their debt level has also increased to almost $6.2 million which is up 13 per cent on figures for last financial year according to their annual report. Western Power believes this is to some extent due to increased funding for upgrading the ageing power pole network. Newcastle families will be happy with a new government website that will enable them to compare electricity prices and save hundreds of dollars a year as stated by the country’s Energy Regulator Commissioner.
